HOW TO DATE YOURSELF

Hi everyone, welcome back here. How have you been ? It's been such a hectic day for me. Finally today, I would like to talk about a sensitive topic here, personally for me. Who are you dating recently ? How long  have you been dating someone ? Who is your boyfriend or girlfriend ? Are you dating ? It was such a personal question that I found out okay but it can be very annoying somehow. 

As for now, I don't find those questions annoying but it makes me question myself. As a person who has never been dating someone, I do really well at handling those questions. Not long ago, the question was, am I not worthy enough to date someone or am I not good enough for those people ? Am I weird ? Am I that ugly ? And many others. But as for today, I just bravely said that I am worthy and it just is not my time yet. 

Finding the answers to these questions was not an easy journey though. But I profoundly believe in one thing, before I can be able to love someone I need to love myself first. Love has a universal meaning, not just an intimate love. The important thing is to build a good foundation for those involved. So it feels like if you wanna date someone, date yourself first. Dating yourself here is something you have to acknowledge, enjoy and engage in. Willing to be able to realize a good side but also bad side from yourself and able to handle it in every situation. 

Many simple things that I would like to mention here, when you are loving someone you want to give that person attention, care, love, time and comfort through your love languages and learn it from yourself. As for myself, the act of service is my love language. I love cooking, so I will cook healthy and wonderful homemade food for myself almost everyday. Serving good food to your body with all the ingredients I personally picked, the time and effort I spent and the excitement feeling I feel when I am cooking. It may lead  to joyful experiences for you and the things you love.

The other activity to be able to treat yourself is going somewhere.  I mean you can go on vacation alone. Visit some place you dream of. Do not be scared, whether you cannot speak the language, face the different culture, meet new people and others ifs. Trust me, it has always been an amazing experience to do in your entire life. Just you and that place. You can feel that you live in a pleasant place. Explore and memories everything. Doing everything you want to do. Finding a purpose in life. You may feel love and good about it. Fully enjoy everything. Giving yourself an opportunity to live your life. Having boundaries just you and yourself.


Me & the world

The last thing is writing or journaling. As for me, I love writing everything that comes into my mind. Writing can deepen the connection between you and yourself. Open to our thoughts and feelings, it leads to how to understand yourself better. Sometimes I wrote thoughts about the topics I had talked about with my friends, something I found interesting while reading a book or maybe something that I watched through a Youtube channel that was relevant to my life and my environment. 

In conclusion, it has many benefits to treat yourself like someone you love.  You can be able to be engaged and open to yourself. It can be good but it may be bad on the other side. By being able to understand yourself better, it leads something deep to your soul. An intimate engagement to your mind, body and spirit. It harmony's yourself.  You will be more passionate, loving, caring, making a lot of decisions, having thoughts, what do you want to do and open the joys to yourself.
